Well, I hope all of you had a blast on your Memorial Day weekend. We will have a date soon for our June BBQ and Ride. I hope you all can attend. This will be the first year of doing it so I'm sure as greenhorns we're in for a few surprises.

For what is probably the last update for the month we want to add some readers rides to our gallery and give a heads up for the upcoming 1st Thursday @ Duluno's Pizza in Uptown.

Check out the new Rides!!!

Hey you rockers and rockats, how are you all doing? We had a great time at the VJMC show the other day over in Maplewood. There were some greeat restores, rare bikes, and a few custom reacers. All in all a great turn out on what turned out to be a much hotter day than most of us anticipated.

We met some great folks and enjoyed seeing what comes out of your garage. So with out further ado, here are some pictures of the bikes we saw and some of the folks who drive them.

Show us your headlights

Here's Craig with his 1976 Kawi 900 bored over to 1018.

Wally Wagstrom on the left and Rodney holding our "Show us your Headlights" sign. Wally took home some trophy's with this beauty. 1975 Kawasaki Z1 900. Mint.

Bill Powers with his ratted out 1976 750Four K model. Great lower bars and all around old school style.

Here's Ross Mackert and his 1968 CL450. Ross pulled up along side the 1969 CL I drove to the show. It was great to compare the differences between the years.

Dave riding his 1952 Triumph Thunderbird

Thanks guys for posing with your bikes for some Racers pics. I know there are more on the way and we'll all see them soon.

Here's a sneak peek at some of the other bikes at the show...

It was a great day at Klines Motorsports and he had a blast. Thanks to the VJMC Minnesota chapter, Kline Motorsports, our bike models, and all of you riders out there who participated. Its all what we make it. Share the road.

Today there is an event today that I don't know a lot about. The Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club of Minnesota is putting on a show today from around noon to 3 I believe. We will be there representing our Japanese bikes of choice. Hans is going to be on the smokin' Suzuki GT550 and I'll take the nimble little Honda CL450. We'll bring a camera and try to get some great bike pics for the site along with some great folks.

Ok, we're on a roll now. We've been doing a lot of workin and riding this summer and have seen quite the cafe following around the city this summer. It looks like its blowing up from just turning some super bike bars upside down to full customs. Now I don't know about you, but I still love seeing those Rat bikes as well.

Check out Jeremy Moberg's CB175
It's the newest edition to our Gallery on the Reader's Rides page.

We want to see YOUR cafe racers and post them on our site. Show us your Cafe Racers spirit & email your pics to: emailus@mplsracerscafe.com

Check out the pics below of the Classic Bike spot. Click on the pics for links to Classic Bike's website. If you don't already have a subscription, you should think about getting one. Great for anybody who likes old two wheelers.

Hello all you racers out there! We're still having some issues with getting the right equipment to work for the site. If you see this page right now thats a good start I'd say.

There's been a lot happening in the Racers garage lately. Unfortunately the trusty (unmentionable brand name here) digital camera we normally use and the crusty old laptop we use have decided to break and we can't show you as much as we'd like to. But to try and make it up to you we're planning some really exciting things for this summer.

The 1st Annual Minneapolis Racers Cafe ride and BBQ will be coming up in June and we're going to cook some burgers and things for you all and plan a little cafe ride around the city. More on that later this month.

Looks like the 1967 BSA made it into the New issue of Classic Bike magazine. They are out of England so our "new" issue is the April one for us in the midwest. The bike was a total restore and it is in the 'Fresh From the Shed' section.
